CHISHOLM ABORIGINAL SCARRED TREE

I have an interest in Aboriginal scarred trees in the ACT and have discovered a few apart from the recorded trees on my walks through Canberra's Nature Parks. I have been driving past a major roundabout in Chisholm for years and never really noticed this tree. From past experience finding an overlooked tree on the side of the road is not so unusual as I also drove the Tuggeranong Parkway for years and last year noticed a tree on the side of the highway in the grounds of a Church.

So after noticing this tree in Chisholm, and at first convincing myself that it was a natural scar, I continued to pass regularly until recently when the light of the hour of day seemed to enhance the scar visually. A decision was made to finally check it out and end nagging doubt and this is the result. I took some video...
